Relax & Rejuvinate
Bathroom Remodel
Client Must Haves
The master bathroom felt cavernous because of its overly tall ceiling, was carpeted and had a tub deck that took up too much space. The makeup area was not suited for sitting down. The room lacked a place to hang towels. Overall, the bathroom did not provide an enjoyable bathing experience.
Unique Features
The new bathroom has become a place to relax and rejuvenate. The carpet was replaced with large format heated tiles. A new soffit over the closet creates a contiguous line extending from one vanity to the next and helps bring the space to human scale. Painting the soffit white to contrast against the gray walls further scales down the overly tall ceiling. A more streamlined tub deck opens up the room; it also makes getting in and out of the tub easier. Sizing down the door opening to the closet and installing a mirrored barn door frees up wall space for a sit down makeup area. The grey and white color scheme in the remodeled space creates a feeling of serenity and highlights the stained glass window.
Client Review
“Rita has been amazing. We are absolutely thrilled with our family room, master bedroom and master bathroom remodel. Rita's vision, expertise, advice and attention to detail was invaluable and we are confident we would not have achieved such a fantastic outcome without her. She supported us right through the life of the project, from early concept, to final design layout, visiting stores for materials and final finishes and working with our various suppliers and contractors to ensure they fully understood our preferences. We felt so comfortable and confident with Rita that we were able to entrust her with key decisions through the remodel while we were away from our home for 6 weeks). She is wonderful to work with and we would absolutely not hesitate for a moment to involve her in future projects. Thank you so very much Rita.”
