How I Work
Kitchen and Bath
Design
I design kitchens and bathrooms for new builds and remodels. I can assist with the entire construction project or for only specific parts of the project as follows:

Space Planning: Measure existing space. Create plans, elevations, lighting and electrical layouts for the new space

Product Selection: Select cabinetry, lighting, plumbing, tile, countertop, flooring, paint, and accessories

Project Management: Assist during construction to ensure project is built as designed and to address issues
Cabinetry
Cabinetry can transform an existing space into the multi-purpose activity area and requisite storage that today's homes need.
I design mudrooms, home offices, craft rooms, playrooms, entertainment units, and any custom storage for your home. If construction is involved, I incorporate construction design services to my offering.
Color Consultation
Color is a powerful design tool and is one of the quickest ways to update the look of a room. However, choosing the right paint color is also the trickiest. Color changes with light exposure, the orientation of the painted surface and the color of the pieces around it. Greys and whites are particularly challenging with new color trends further complicating the process.
Contact me if you need help selecting paint colors for interior walls, for exterior house colors, or for existing cabinetry. I select a color palette to identify potential colors for you to try out and schedule a follow up meeting and make adjustments as needed.
My Process
CONSULTATION
The initial consultation is a phone conversation to discuss your project--it's scope, design challenges, timelines and investment cost. If we mutually agree that the project is a good fit, the next step is a site visit to assess the physical space.
DESIGN
Upon receipt of the signed retainer agreement and design fee, I arrange another visit to measure the space. I create plans and elevations and schedule design meetings to discuss the new space.
PRODUCT SELECTION
Once the plans are finalized, I pre-select products for the project and set up meetings at third party vendors' and fabricators' offices. Payment arrangements for products and services are between you and the vendor/installer.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
I schedule a pre-construction meeting with the contractor to discuss the scope of work and go over construction plans. Job contracts are between you and the contractor. As the work commences, I make progress check-ins.
